Jonathan hails from Exeter originally and returned to Devon after graduating with an Honours degree in Modern European Studies. He has spent most of his career in the South West, with a brief stint in the City of London with Reuters. Since 1995, Jonathan has held various positions in Financial Services, including advising his own clients and holding several leadership positions. He joined Medical and General in April 2023, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise in the industry, and has played a pivotal role in the business's growth since.

He also holds the CII Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice and the CII Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of technical knowledge across both mortgage and investment advice.

Key areas of expertise include Inheritance Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, and Wealth Management. Jonathan maintains professional connections that refer work to him based on his expertise, particularly with Company Directors and other client types.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys cooking and motorsport. In 2021, he passed his ARDS test at the Thruxton circuit and has since competed in various circuit races at Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Pembrey.

A fun fact about Jonathan is that he lived in France as part of his degree, which may be where his passion for cooking originated. His signature dishes include Beef én Croute, French onion soup, and sausage casserole.
