Gillian's career began with a third world development charity called ActionAid, where she worked as a HR Officer across Chard, Bristol and London for seven years, gaining valuable experience in people management and organisational support.

She then moved into the financial services sector, joining HSBC in a customer services role as Branch Manager. During her two years in this position, sales and service grew by an impressive 92%. This success led to her promotion into Premier Relationship Management, where she looked after approximately 1,500 clients in her Premier Portfolio, working closely with IFAs, multi-tied Financial Planning Managers and Mortgage Managers for 12 years.

Gillian then returned to her HR roots and joined a leading surgical manufacturing company as HR, Office & Payroll Manager. For 12 years, she provided these services to 150 staff whilst overseeing operational training and development across the business.

More recently, Gillian spent time working in ISO9001 compliance, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She is signed to the PECB for continuous improvement and is currently studying for certification.

Gillian brings expert experience in client services from her time in HSBC Branch Management and Premier Management. She's particularly looking forward to returning to customer engagement in the financial sector, helping clients on a daily basis with any enquiries they may have.

Outside of work, Gillian enjoys spending time with her husband and three grown-up boys, two of whom have now left home. Her three cats - Tiger, Teddy and Willow, keep her busy, and there would be more if she were allowed! She also loves walking, swimming, socialising with friends, and visiting the beach each weekend.

Fun fact: Gillian once chased bank robbers out of the branch!
