Deborah Armstrong

Senior Administrator

Deborah, whose name means industrious, naturally thrives on being busy. She relocated to Devon at the age of 13 with her parents, where she attended school and college in South Devon. Her journey in Financial Services began after being made redundant at the tender age of 19. Starting as a Bank Cashier, she undertook various roles in Customer Service and Branch Management.

In 1997, she returned to South Devon to pursue her dream of becoming an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) after gaining initial experience as a tied agent for a well-known assurance company in Liverpool. Debs went on to achieve her Financial Planning Certificates levels one, two, and three, and successfully passed the CeMap qualification. In 2005, she took a break from Financial Services to embark on her greatest achievement to date: being a mum to four children. She plans to pursue Chartered status in due course.

Outside of work, Debs is a social butterfly. She loves nothing more than enjoying downtime with her partner, family, and friends. A passionate football fan, she supports Liverpool FC. Her interests include cooking, walking, the theatre, going to the gym, foreign travel, and occasionally watching rugby games at Sandy Park to support Exeter Chiefs. Currently, Debs is studying for a degree in Business Management through the Open University.

Debs is renowned for being the discount Queen, known as "Debs Deals," as she loves a bargain.

She once told a friend that Gary Barlow had proposed to her, with her young daughter listening in. Although it was just a dream, her daughter told her entire school it was real, leaving Debs a little red-faced in the playground when parents quizzed her about it!
